Steve Bettner has been selected to serve as New Mexico State University’s assistant vice president for Auxiliary Services, effective Aug. 16.
Auxiliary Services is responsible for managing non-academic operations on campus that include food venues, housing, parking, ID cards, special events, the golf course, the bookstore and Corbett Center Student Union. The goal of these operations is to provide avenues to enhance the quality of life at NMSU and the college experience for students.
Bettner joins NMSU from Seminole, Florida, where he served as the director of Auxiliary and Business Services at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. Bettner received his bachelor’s from the University of Tampa and his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He also served in the Supply Corps of the U.S. Navy, which is responsible for the supply phases of naval logistics.
